Public dock & boater access

Tie up right beside the restaurant and walk in for dinner and drinks — Leschi's most relaxed parking spot.

Get directions

There’s a public dock right at the restaurant — one of the best perks of being on Lakeside Avenue. After a day on Lake Washington, you can tie up, step off the boat, and be at the bar inside of a minute.

Quick dock info

  • Public dock (City of Seattle)
  • First-come, first-served
  • No reservations
  • No fee
  • Short-term moorage only (no overnight)

How it works

The dock is public and first-come, first-served — it isn’t ours to reserve, but it’s right outside our door, and weeknights are typically easier for docking. Weekends and SeaFair afternoons fill up faster, so it pays to arrive a little before sunset.

There’s no fee to use the dock. Time limits are set by the City and may be posted onsite — no need to call ahead, just look for an open cleat and tie off.

Walk in, no flip-flop rules

Come up the dock as you are — boat shoes, swim trunks, sun-pinked shoulders, all welcome. Our patio is directly adjacent to the dock and is the easiest landing spot, and the full menu and bar are open whether you sit outside or step inside.

A few practical notes

  • The dock has no power, water, or overnight moorage — it’s a lunch-and-dinner stop, not a slip.
  • Watch your wake on the way in; the shoreline gets shallow fast.
  • If the dock is full, the public swim beach next door has space to anchor and dinghy in on calm days.

Please note — The dock is a City of Seattle public facility. It is not owned, operated, or managed by BluWater Bistro. We can’t reserve space, hold a slip, or mediate between boaters. All standard Leschi and Lakewood Marina rules apply — including posted time limits, no overnight moorage, and right-of-way for loading and unloading. Use of the dock is at your own risk.

A boat, a sunset, and a cold drink on the patio — about as Seattle as it gets.
